Two of our area meetings have ended recently, and we sincerely thank them for all their service and sharing and recovery.

We would also like to thank all of our fellowship for continuing to send in updates, and all of our facilities and platforms and technologies -- for supporting all our meetings in any way.

August 24, 2020: Website Updates fiber_new

July Intergroup included our annual officer elections, the second edition of our new Twelve Stepper Forum is about to come out, and it seems that Zoom Meetings are here to stay.

So it was really way past time for a huge LMI-OA website update.

Please look around and let us know if anything is amiss.

The biggest change is a new shared template for all types of meetings, any combination of formats: face-to-face, telephone, and/or Zoom. It is now much easier to keep meeting updates more current with "real life". So let us hear about your changes and updates!

If you visit an older page and find a broken link and are not able to access information you need, please get in touch. We have it in the archives.

Calling All Meetings! Intergroup Reps, Treasurers, Secretaries, Public Contacts, Zoom Hosts -- please help proof read the entry for your meeting. Please let us know of any corrections ASAP. THANK YOU!

Even more changes soon -- the Intergroup Documents are being reviewed for updates and will be published soon.

Please check back often.

May 30, 2020: Louisville opens Face-to-Face and Zoom meetings

Dear Fellowship,

Please see the meeting directories on our home page for a new section of Zoom Meetings and look for "F2F Meetings (fewer than 10 people) meeting with precautions. Clink link for information!" to find the face-to-face meetings that are re-opening.

Thank you for your patience during all of these transitions.

Dear OA Friends,

In keeping with the gradual and careful re-opening of churches and public meetings in Kentucky, two of our Louisville Metro meetings are now meeting face-to-face.

John K is the contact person for the Wednesday night 7 PM meeting at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 901 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville 40207 and wrote this announcement for the list-serve:

Please notice – this makes a face-to-face meeting possible for tonight!

Chris T (502 548-3155) is the contact person for the Saturday Serenity 4 PM meeting at Audubon Methodist Church, 3200 Poplar Level Road, 40218. Chris writes:

Please notice – this makes a face-to-face meeting possible on Saturday!

Thank you to Wednesday 7 PM and Saturday 4 PM for their care and concern in holding these meetings.

March 20, 2020: LMI Retreat cancelled. For now. work_off

The retreat committee has recently been in contact with Mount Saint Francis. Because of changes in their construction schedule related to the coronavirus, they will be unable to accommodate our July 17-19 retreat this summer.

At this point, availability for rescheduling for Fall 2020 at the Mount is unknown. We will keep you posted as we learn more.

We are grateful for the continued connection, experience, strength and hope that our local OA fellowship is maintaining despite our current situation.

Subject: Alert! Some meetings/churches close because of virus. Check before attending.

Hello, All,

Today Kentucky Governor Beshear recommended that churches not meet to worship this coming weekend as a precaution to halt the coronavirus. Many churches are extending that caution to cancel any meetings in their buildings during the week, including meetings of organizations such as OA that rent church rooms.

Also, some meetings are deciding not to meet even if their meeting places remain open to them.

The communications committee will send an email tomorrow listing all the meeting cancellation notices that have come in.

Here are further suggestions to help determine what meetings will be open or closed:

Be careful everyone!

Be well!

Jenny L for the Communications Committee
